Going back in time?

So I was walking out of cafe after enjoying Howard University's oh so generous lite breakfast (read: sarcasm) and was met with the usual tour group. I think its cool that my school is so popular/historic that we get tours almost everyday of the week, but sometimes that shit is annoying. Huge crowds blocking up doors and I really dont like alot of people around me anyway. However, this time I noticed that they had Howard folders and that reminded me that we were having open house for incoming freshmen today. Oh how time turned back for me..

See I never did take a tour of Howard's campus. Atleast not an official one. My mentor and a family friend showed me around a few times, but I never was in one of those big tour groups. But seeing them still sent me back in time, back in the beginning of first semester when everything was so new. Watching them be all excited and take pictures really brought me back. It also made me think..was I like that back then? Was I acting like that just a few months ago? In the long run it was a good feeling and I was happy for their excitement. I just wish the would come in smaller groups!
